Le Gray Beirut

Le Gray’s location is hard to beat, right in the heart of Beirut with the places worth visiting just a few steps away. I stayed just after the soft opening, and the staff were clearly well trained, attentive, and dedicated to making guests feel welcome. From the friendly reception to a smooth check-in, everything was handled with care. My room was spotless, fully equipped, and beautifully prepared, and the rest of the hotel was just as clean. I also tried the restaurant, and both the flavor and quality of the food exceeded my expectations. The cigar lounge stood out too, with a special atmosphere that brings together luxury and art. It was a truly exceptional stay.

It was embarrassing to arrange this for my friends’ wedding and have it turn out so poorly. I’d reserved a gift room at Le Gray Beirut as a surprise, expecting a polished, high-end experience for such a special occasion. Instead, reception was unwelcoming and unhelpful, service was disorganized, and there was no attention to detail. We had to repeat ourselves several times, and the attitude felt careless and indifferent. For a hotel presenting itself as luxury, it was extremely overpriced for the poor service. I wouldn’t recommend it for special occasions. Expectations were high, but what we got was far below an acceptable standard.

Blackout shades and a minibar stocked with what you need are thoughtful touches. The room felt like a dream, spacious and peaceful, with lovely furnishings and a bed that felt like sleeping on a cloud.
