The location is amazing, and you can see the beach from reception. There’s also a rooftop piscine. Antoinette, the hotel manager, deserves five stars. She’s kind, honest, helpful, professional, and has high morals. During afternoon rush hour we needed a taxi, and after trying three taxi companies and two other drivers without success, she went into the middle of the street to find us one. That’s the kind of professionalism some managers at grumpier, fancier hotels could learn from.

The room was spacious and comfortable, but it smelled bad and didn’t have good lighting. The reception is very good, and there’s a clean pool with a nice view of both the sea and the mountains. The employees were polite and helpful.

I still picture the bay of Jounieh from our balcony, and I can remember the breakfast and freshly baked manakish (saj). Your suggestions helped us plan our days and made our trip to Lebanon a big success. Mme Antoinette, thank you, along with Georges, George #2, and all the staff, for such a lovely stay at Holiday Suites Hotel. Your generosity and warmth made it feel like a second home. Thank goodness I asked to see the room before renting it. It was awful, yet they were asking the highest price in town. There was no security and no staff. Just stupid.
