The view was nice, but I didn't enjoy staying here. At the restaurant, some menu items weren't available. The food was good when it arrived, though the service made me feel like a bother. Customer service was horrible. I think the very old owners are on site, while management sticks to a 'we've always done it this way' attitude. There were few guests and lots of empty rooms, and the music was painfully old and sad. Someone else booked this place for me, but if I return I'll ask to stay somewhere else. I sent my wife a picture of the bed with a short explanation. The cleaner wanted the sheets for washing, but took only the top sheet.

We had a relaxed dinner, with friendly, excellent service in a nicely decorated restaurant that felt quaint and homey. We also had a big laugh over some of the harsh reviews the restaurant and hotel have received from disgruntled customers. They seemed to us like small-minded, entitled people expecting celebrity treatment after spending only a couple of bucks. It was fun laughing about the unhappy guests who'd been here before us while we enjoyed our meal.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the hotel itself is very pretty, with friendly staff. The pool could use some refurbishing. The restaurant food was good, although they often didn't have several of the menu items. It's handy if you have business in Castries and don't want to travel down from Gros Islet.

The food and staff here were excellent, but the hotel needs some work. There was no soap or shampoo in my room, so I had to get someone to go to the store for some. The TV didn't work, and the air conditioning barely cooled the room. It seems better suited to people traveling for work.

I spent two nights here with my wife and some friends, and we had a fantastic time. The staff were very friendly, and they even let me check out two hours late at no charge. Our room was cleaned and restocked daily with fresh towels and soap. I'd gladly stay here again on my next trip to St Lucia.
