Habitat Terrace Hotel

My school trip here was beautiful. The atmosphere in St Lucia was outstanding, and I loved the pool and the rooms' lovely feel. Our AC leaked, but we fixed it quickly. I still want to go back.

Cheryl was always ready with tips for exploring the island, and when we got back late, Colin, the friendly security man, greeted us and helped with our things when needed. We felt welcome throughout our 9 days at Habitat Terrace, thanks to Cheryl and her staff. The property is attractive and well cared for. Our first-floor room was beside the lobby and across from the breakfast room, but noise never bothered us. We could sleep in as late as we liked. The suite had a full kitchen, a large dining room and a master suite. The kitchen was stocked with the expected appliances, cookware, dishes and utensils, and opened onto the back garden with a pool, chairs and cushioned benches. Our day trips kept us too busy to use the pool. Breakfast was tasty, with plenty of variety. Emily cooked to order, and having breakfast right at the hotel was handy. Rodney Bay and Gros Islet were close enough to reach easily, while the hotel was about a five-minute drive from the bustle. The neighborhood felt safe and was well maintained, and we used the hotel as a base for trips all over the island. Driving through Castries at rush hour was nerve-racking, though manageable. The room rate was very reasonable. I’d recommend Habitat Terrace, and staying in Rodney Bay or Gros Islet when visiting St. Lucia.

I still stand by what I thought of the customer service: the staff were excellent, friendly and warm, and the rooms seemed quite okay. But there was a mouse in my room, and late at night there wasn’t another empty room available to move into. It would be useful to keep a spare key for at least one other room for an emergency like that.
