Alfred's Diamond Villa

The apartment had everything we needed, was good value, and sat on the ground floor beside a clean pool. It was peaceful, away from the bustle of Soufriere town, with a supermarket and small bars nearby. The roads are uneven, so a torch would be useful if walking back at night. I sprained my ankle in Soufriere, and Darius and his lovely girlfriend were incredibly kind and helpful. Since I couldn't walk, Darius drove us to several places, including the botanical gardens, and was always available. He's a very nice guy. I'd recommend staying here.

Edit: This review is from 2015. I mostly enjoyed Diamond Villa. It's an affordable way to get a full apartment in Soufrière for a while, and could work well for a family with two or three kids. The area is quieter than the rest of the city, though still an easy walk to everything. I was travelling alone and ended up in a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and living room. The owner said the other unit was being renovated, though I wondered if her daughter had simply handed me the wrong key and they were too polite to move me. The wifi didn't reach the apartment, so I had to walk outside and down the porch to get a signal. The shower was the bigger hassle. Pressure was poor, and it was pretty cold on the first night. They said the electric water heater needed to be switched on instead of relying on the solar heater. The second night was warmer, but the pressure was still weak. By the third night the water was hot and pressure was great, though a few bursts of cold water nearly made me jump out.

The microwave had a small issue, and so did the AC, but the place was clean, comfortable and lovely. I had a great time, 10/10, highly recommend 😊😍 Will definitely come back soon.

The staff made us feel welcome and were lovely. Housekeeping was accommodating, and the rooms were spacious, with full air-conditioning in the bedrooms.
