Tri Koggala by Amaya Hotel

We could easily have eaten at TRI every night. The food was outstanding, and the staff were consistently great, approachable, and happy to chat. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable too. We absolutely plan to come back. A wonderful stay from beginning to end.

The Sri Lankan food was one of the standout parts of our two-day stay at Tri Koggala. Mr. Gamini, the Chief Chef, prepared dishes with wonderful flavor, authenticity, and presentation. Service at meals was consistently pleasant thanks to Mr. Pasan, Mr. Prashan, and Mr. Chamal. We felt well looked after throughout. Mr. Lalit, Mr. Jayantha,Mr. Chamal and Mr. Priyantha handled check-in and our room allocation smoothly, and were attentive and helpful during the stay. Ms. Shamika greeted us warmly and politely, which set a lovely tone. Mr. Ishan, the Chief Engineer, also deserves thanks for keeping everything maintained and running smoothly. It was a relaxing, enjoyable visit, made memorable by the whole team’s care and hospitality. We’d recommend Tri Koggala and would love to return.

A quiet, calm place that suited us well for relaxing. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. Food was average, though the pool had a lovely view despite being on the small side. Our clean, spacious room looked out over the lake, and we watched a beautiful sunset there. This is a late review, we visited about a year ago.

We had an awesome, joyful time on the boat safari with amile, and the food was the best culinary experience we had in Sri Lanka. I even asked the chef to teach me one dish. He was so kind and talented, and welcomed me into the kitchen to learn. The wait staff were attentive and lovely, with service that covered even the little details. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had an incredible view. This was the highlight of our trip, and might be one of my favorite hotels anywhere. It’s the quiet luxury we dream about.
