Jessica, Ashan, Ajith, Maduranga, Chethuya, Tharanga and Mr. Dale all helped make this trip special. Dale was our first contact on the hotline. He listened to what we wanted and guided us to this getaway from their collection of seven properties. Without his help, the trip might not have happened. The team’s warmth and dedication really lifted our stay, and I’m grateful to everyone. Villa Mayurana was exactly the peaceful escape we wanted. The villa is beautifully kept, with modern comforts and updated amenities alongside antique furnishings and timeless style. Every corner felt considered and welcoming. The staff were attentive, friendly, and committed to making our stay memorable. And the food was superb: full of flavour, carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and served with care. We had a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend Villa Mayurana.

The big verandas and detailed woodwork were lovely, with gardens all around adding to the charm. It felt like stepping into a piece of history. Staying in this colonial villa was delightful, and the architecture and decor really captured the era.
The view from the pool over the jungle and Koggala Lake was the highlight for me. Looking out at all that green and the shimmering water felt calming and restorative, whether I was swimming or just sitting poolside. Villa Mayurana, on a hill in Ahangama, is a peaceful, luxurious retreat. The rooms combine colonial grandeur with modern comforts, with high ceilings, elegant furnishings, and large windows full of natural light. Each one felt tranquil and restful. Ravindu deserves a special mention. The friendly, attentive staff went out of their way to make things personal, from arranging tailored excursions to serving lovely meals and adding thoughtful touches. Villa Mayurana brings together beautiful rooms, excellent service, and striking scenery. I left refreshed and inspired, already wishing I could return.
The cinnamon plantation covers six acres, and Villa Mayurana makes a beautiful escape from the city and busy schedules. We loved relaxing in the lounge and watching peacocks wander around the property. Bring a few favorite books to read. Breakfast was disappointing, though. The menu already had limited choices, and some of those weren’t available, so we had to choose from whatever the kitchen had. For the amount we paid, that was unfortunate. Restaurant service was really bad too. We had to repeat our order again and again while the waiter kept going back and forth to the kitchen.
Want some personal space on vacation? Villa Mayurana comes to mind right away. Tucked into six acres of cinnamon forest, it feels like a real escape. We started the day with cinnamon iced tea, which kept us refreshed. For a four-bedroom villa, it’s great value. There’s a fully equipped gym, a spa, and an infinity pool with a view of Koggala Lake on a clear day. The cinnamon experience offered at the property is a nice added touch.
