Stay away. She seemed intent on trapping guests and getting as many rupees out of them as possible, including through rip-off 3 wheel drivers. The breakfast was lousy, and even tap water cost 100 rupees each time. The AC was noisy and didn’t work properly, adding to the misery after we were forced to change rooms. It was dusty, with the temperature around the mid 30s.

It’s in a quiet spot but still close to the main attractions. The owner is kind and available if you need anything. For a few money, you can get breakfast and lunch at whatever time you want, and there are two bicycles to rent for 200rupees a day. I’d recommend this guesthouse.

The family were very friendly, and the rice and curry was nice. It’s a clean, very nice guest house, and renting a bike there is handy for visiting the site.

The owners were unbelievably friendly. It’s a basic, clean place and cheap, and the curry they made was among the best I had in 2.5 weeks in Sri Lanka. I highly recommend it.
