They charged us for plates, which felt like another way to squeeze money from guests. The rooms hadn’t been cleaned properly, the bathroom was disgusting, and the sheets didn’t seem fresh. I wouldn’t recommend the place. For the same price or less, you can find somewhere that cares about cleanliness and basic hospitality.

Getting our money back took hours of arguing after staff initially refused our refund request over the broken AC. The staff were rude, and the manager was arrogant, unhelpful, and dismissive of our concerns. The rooms and washrooms were dirty and smelled terrible, and the property seemed poorly maintained with little care for cleanliness or guests. It felt as if they cared only about taking money. I’d avoid the place.

The parking arrangement was a mess. It’s single lane, and we had to come out several times to move our car for others. When we were a little late checking out, staff called twice to hurry us along, which left us feeling rushed and uncomfortable. Upstairs, the dining area was dusty and poorly kept. At night it was dark and unwelcoming, with no staff around to help. The rooms were very dirty, and the bathroom odor lingered even after we used air freshener. The pool also looked neglected, as if it hadn’t been cleaned for ages, and seemed unhygienic and unsafe to use. The photos on Booking.com were more than two years old and didn’t show the property's current condition. What we found was far worse than expected. This experience spoiled part of our trip. The place fell short on cleanliness, professionalism, and value. Calling it a “resort” is misleading. I can’t recommend it, even to my worst enemy, and one star feels generous.

At King City Hotel, I had a broken AC in my room and a persistent unpleasant smell in the washroom. Hygiene was poor, including in the rooms and swimming pool, which looked unsanitary. I also felt the services didn’t match what had been promised. Prices seemed unreasonable, with overcharges for various services. Customer service was consistently poor, the staff came across as unprofessional, and the overall quality was far below expectations. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel.
