We felt very comfortable here and really enjoyed the stay. Theppan was friendly and helpful, big thanks to him. The rooms were spacious and very clean, with comfortable beds and air conditioning that worked well. There’s a shared kitchen with a fridge, two large tables, and a drinking water refill station, which we appreciated for avoiding plastic. There’s also a small garden with seats and an outdoor shower for rinsing off sand. The beach and several cafes and restaurants are just a few minutes away on foot.

A lovely little hotel made up of three houses. Theepan, the manager, was warm and kind, and helped us with everything we needed, even sorting out an issue with our rental car. The room was clean and had all the essentials. I definitely recommend it :)

We’ve stayed at four hostels around Arugam bay, and this one was easily the best. The garden outside is beautiful, and the room was clean, nicely decorated, and looked great. Theepan was so kind and accommodating. He even brought me tea after he noticed I was sick. We’ll definitely come back.

We were very comfortable during our time in Arugam Bay. HillTop House is a quiet, charming place in a convenient location. The room was cute and clean, with AC, a ceiling fan, and a terrace. There’s a fan on the terrace too, which made it usable in the heat, unlike terraces at some other places where we’ve stayed. There’s a shared workspace next to the kitchen, with a ceiling fan there as well, and guests can use it during their stay. Restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets are close by, and the beach is a two-minute walk away. Parking is available. We highly recommend staying here.

We stayed for three weeks, and it worked really well for a longer visit. The rooms are spacious and tidy, and the area is very quiet. It’s also an easy walk to the main surf point since it’s so close. The team is thoughtful, available, and happy to answer questions. Couldn’t recommend this little place more.
