The location was great, but everything else was terrible. Management was poor and the guest experience was awful. The website didn't say the rooms were tiny converted shipping containers. There was no hot water for showers on the first day, and the TV wasn't working anywhere in the resort. The restaurant was the worst part. Every order took 1 hour 45 minutes, and even frozen, precooked fish fingers took 1 hour 40 minutes. The bedspreads were stained and had to be changed. The rooms also had bad plumbing, with shower and sink water flowing straight out into the property. I understand businesses are rebuilding after Sri Lanka's economic challenges, but that doesn't excuse the lack of care for hospitality and customer service. I would never stay here again. Stay away.

I thought the hotel offered good value for the price. The bungalow rooms seemed better than the ones made from old containers. In my room, the hot water didn't work and the AC was so noisy that it was hard to sleep. I'd rate the restaurant food 6 or 7 out of 10 for both breakfast and dinner. Its location is lovely, with a beautiful lagoon view. The manager was very friendly, and the staff were nice too. Better general maintenance could make the experience much better.

The surroundings are calm and refreshing, a lovely setting for a peaceful break. The view is truly beautiful and worth seeing, and the staff were amazing, friendly and supportive. Highly recommended if you're after a relaxing getaway.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the riverside setting is stunning, like a park. There are several bungalows and a lovely open-air restaurant. But the property needs an upgrade, and you have to keep your expectations in check because things didn't work. The bicycles were broken, the pool wasn't clean, and the boat for the singing fish trip wasn't available. If you go kayaking, remember there are crocodiles in the lagoon.

The manager welcomed us personally and invited us to his bar. He makes excellent drinks entirely from natural ingredients, and his signature creations really impressed us. The resort is peaceful, spotless and well maintained, surrounded by breathtaking nature. It also has the best pool in town, always calm and uncrowded. A relaxing, memorable stay.
