Randi at the front office was especially kind and helpful throughout my stay, and I’m grateful for the excellent service. The room was comfortable, everything was well maintained, and the whole visit was very good. Thanks for making it a pleasant and memorable stay.

We had a deeply stressful stay at Ivy Lane Colombo. The room we were given looked nothing like the online photos. It was a loft-style space, yet it was presented to us as a proper room, which felt misleading. When we asked to raise the issue with the manager, we were told he wasn’t on site, then left waiting several hours to speak with him. His manner was rude and unprofessional, and we felt threatened. We were a group of girls, and hearing him say there would be no refund under any circumstances made us feel extremely uncomfortable instead of addressing our concerns. We ended up moving to a nearby hotel and paying unexpected extra costs, while in a country that was completely new to us. It added a lot of anxiety to what should have been a safe, comfortable stay. The property showed no honesty, professionalism, or basic respect. I strongly wouldn’t recommend Ivy Lane Colombo, especially for women travelling. Don’t rely on the pictures online. What we got was far from what was advertised.

Our stay was fine until checkout. One receptionist blamed us for cracking a shampoo bottle, although it was already damaged and another receptionist had acknowledged the crack earlier. She kept saying in Tamil that we had caused it. After the other staff confirmed the damage was there beforehand, they apologized on her behalf.

The bed was really comfortable, and our room had a good air conditioner, water, and a spacious balcony. Staff were very friendly, and check-in and check-out were easy. Lovely place.

The floor felt sticky, and the sheets were stained and unclean. There was no kettle or hot water in the room, so I had to go to reception for hot water. A/C condensation dripped inside, and the elevators smelled moldy. For this experience, it was very overpriced.
