OYO 108 Eestee Rest

I paid 6000 LKR, and the experience wasn’t worth even a fraction of that. The rooms and bathrooms were in terrible shape, and definitely weren’t neat and clean. The bathroom hadn’t been properly cleaned or maintained, and there was no proper shower setup. There was no soundproofing. I could hear everything in the next room, along with constant noise and movement in the hallways. Customer service was poor, and the place felt extremely overpriced for what it offered. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, hygienic stay.

For a short, budget stay in central Colombo, OYO 108 Eestee Rest offers reasonable value, especially if you’ll be out exploring most of the time. It has essential amenities. If you want comfort, modern facilities, and high end service, you may be better off with another hotel.

The service was nice, but the place itself was awful and didn’t feel suited to tourists. There was mold, ants on the bed, and cigarette stains on the sheets. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

I still pass by this place whenever I come to Sri Lanka, and it brings back a lot of old memories. We stayed here for months on several occasions, from 2002 to 2015, and it always felt comfortable, like home. We used to come regularly and have many memories of our stays. The hotel was very good back when the father was alive. I think he’s no longer there and his sons are looking after the place now. I hope they keep improving it and help more visitors make their own memories. I’m sharing some pictures we took before 2005, I think.
