We had a pleasant night at Lark Lodge while visiting the Dambulla caves, which are within walking distance. The family were lovely, always smiling and ready to help with anything. Our clean, comfortable room had a balcony, and it was fairly quiet despite being close to the main street. The Wi-Fi was very fast, as quick as back in Europe. I’d happily stay again.

We spent one night here with family and had a really nice experience. It’s a calm, quiet place, and both the golden temple and cave temple are an easy walk away. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The owner was kind, friendly, and always willing to help. I’d definitely stay here again in the Dambulla area.

The family took great care of us and were wonderful. Breakfast was good, especially the homemade mango and pineapple juice. The place is close to the Golden Temple. Getting to Dambulla city center for food or a bus does mean taking a tuktuk, though.

I’m an English tourist, and this place was good enough that I came back while touring the country. The host is very friendly and will help whenever you need it. The rooms are cleaned very well, and I think the Wi-Fi is fibre optic, which is rare to find in sri lanka.

We would’ve liked to stay longer. It felt authentic, with a nice touch, and the host was very friendly. In the morning, you can hear the monks’ drums from the golden temple.
