Waking up to birdsong, seeing local people working in the fields near our room, and sipping a cup of tea was so peaceful. The grounds are large, lush and lovely to stroll around, and the family running this small hotel made us feel very welcome. Make sure to book dinner. The food was delicious, the portions generous, and every night we had different typical local dishes from Sri Lanka. We had an absolutely wonderful time at Niduwari Lake homestay. :)

The food was really good, with large portions and different Sri Lankan dishes to try each day. It was a great way to get to know the local food. The owner was lovely, drove us wherever we wanted for very reasonable prices, and gave excellent tour recommendations. It’s a great place to relax and see nature. Highly recommend.

The hosts made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our stay was wonderful, and the peaceful location was perfect for relaxing. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained. Highly recommended if you’re after a cozy, memorable stay!

Such a beautiful, natural and peaceful setting, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. We had a wonderful, calm stay. The hospitality was top-notch, and the staff made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway!

He knows some really nice safari tours! It’s right on the lake, with lots of nature around and a quiet setting. The room was clean, the food was very good, and the family was so lovely. Best homestay we had in dambulla. ~ Marlon & Judith
