A good budget option for backpackers, and worth what you pay. The owner is very friendly and supportive, the rooms are clean and have the essentials, and there's enough parking with reasonable security. Ibbankatuwa lake is close by, with a spot where you can bathe in the lake. The food was tasty too. The room could use a chair and more carpets, though. I'd recommend it to budget travelers.

As a guest house, things were otherwise fine, but our first day was a bad experience because of the water supply problem. I felt they knew about it before we arrived but acted as if they weren't aware. In all five rooms we saw, many bathroom fittings were broken. The showers, especially on the first floor, weren't working properly.

The owners are friendly and very helpful, and the location is convenient for getting into town. You can take a pleasant walk by the river, and the rooms get a breeze in the mornings and evenings. There were tiny ants and reptiles in the room, though, and I think those should be removed.

A peaceful, quiet place to spend the night, with clean bathrooms and the other facilities you need. It's close to many Dambulla sights, including Golden Temple, Ibbankatuwa Lake, Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Kandalama, and more. Highly recommend.
