What stood out most was the food: incredible, fresh, locally sourced Sri Lankan cooking. The hosts treated us like family, and Vihanga personally helped throughout our stay, going above and beyond to make it memorable. He even showed us around dambulla in a way only a local could. We spent 3 days at Vihanga Village, and the stillness made it feel like a real break from everything. It’s quiet and serene, surrounded by nature. The property is beautifully cared for, and the rooms are clean, simple, and comfortable. The semi outdoor bathroom was a unique touch. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to unwind and experience something real.

I stayed one night. The place was built for shooting film and later converted into a resort. My favorite things were the location and the half open bathroom. Trees surround the whole place. If you love nature, you’ll love it here ❤️. I made a few reels and uploaded them to my insta jazaa.ceylon.

The lush, cool surroundings made us feel like we were right in the jungle. I stayed at Vihanga Village Jungle with my wife and two friends from Switzerland, and it was an amazing experience. Our friends found it very welcoming, with exceptional service and excellent food. We highly recommend it for a holiday in Dambulla, North Central Province.

After 15 days travelling around Sri Lanka, no other hotel, homestay, or property matched the care, love, and hospitality we got during our 3 nights in Dambulla. Vihanga Village, near Sigiriya, has my whole heart ❤️. The rooms are spacious and lovely, and the bathroom is an experience on its own. Mrs Deepani Welagedara cooked delicious food that tasted just like our mom’s, with so much love and care. We looked forward to breakfast and dinner every day. As vegetarians, we got to try all kinds of local delicacies and traditional Sri Lankan dishes. The food at Vihanga Village will be one of my fondest memories of Sri Lanka ❤️❤️.

The hosts are a very kind family, and we even joined their party one evening. The half outdoor bath was surprisingly clean. It was a great experience and good value. The food was unbelievably good, with a different breakfast each day and very cheap, homemade dinners.
