Dickwella Beach

Tables, cabanas and loungers made it easy to spend a laid-back day here, and the team was great. We wandered in and had a fantastic time, with perfect food and drinks. Sir Thilina is the mixologist and makes some of the best cocktails on the beach. Highly recommend it for a good time.

The food and drinks were so tasty, from breakfast through dinner. We also tried a special signature cocktail, and I loved the cappuccino from their new coffee machine. The view and beach are the best, and the staff are amazing. I love this hotel and will definitely come back. I can totally recommend it 😊

The photos really don't show how lovely this little resort is. It's right on a beautiful beach, with gorgeous loungers and great food, and there are lots of beach bars nearby. The room was big, clean and good, with a hot powerful shower and good AC. We first got a ground-floor room with a balcony space that felt like a prison yard, so they should work on that. After one night they moved us upstairs and it was much better. The waves around Sri Lanka are big, so leisurely sea swimming is only for confident swimmers. Hiriketiya town is a short tuk tuk ride away. I'd come back and recommend it to friends.

We didn't want to leave and will definitely come back. Dickwella beach is much nicer than Hiriketiya, but close enough to walk to. The location feels secluded on one of Sri Lanka's best beaches, while still being near plenty of great restaurants. The hotel menu is small but well chosen, with Western and Sri Lankan options. Staff are lovely and welcoming. Rooms aren't modern, but ours was spacious and clean with excellent air-conditioning. The beds could be improved. I noticed new mattresses in the foyer, so perhaps they're being replaced. We were near the main road, but couldn't hear noise in the room. Once inside the hotel, especially at the beach, you wouldn't know there was a road out front. The beach rooms look wonderful too.
