Cascade Vally

The location is a bit far from Ella city, so you need a tuk-tuk, but that felt like a small tradeoff for the warmth and hospitality. Uncle took us on a city tour for a very reasonable price. During a hike, he even carried our baby in his arms, and his care for our little one really touched us. The whole family was extremely friendly and caring, and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The rooms were cosy and comfortable, and the food was decent. They also prepared eggs for our baby at 6 am when we requested it. We had an incredible experience at Cascade Vally and highly recommend this homestay, especially to families with little ones. Thank you, Uncle, for making our stay so special!

It was friendly and really clean. The place is about a 15-minute walk from the center, which is no problem if you know that going in. Unfortunately, we confirmed the tuk-tuk ride for 4:15 am twice, but nobody showed up. Luckily we had enough time to walk to the center and get a tuk-tuk there to go to Ella Rock.

The hosts were friendly and helpful, and easily catered to our dietary requirements. The balcony is a lovely spot to sit and eat breakfast with a beautiful view of the waterfall. Our room was spacious and clean, with a large bed, mosquito net, and clean bathroom. It’s a great starting point for walking to the waterfall and Ella Rock. There are also plenty of nice restaurants and juice bars nearby, so you don’t have to go into busy Ella centre for dinner if you don’t want to. A lovely place to stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone 😊

The rooms are clean and budget-friendly, and the breakfasts are good and simple. The view is beautiful, and the hotel is run by a warm family who took very good care of us. Such wonderful hospitality. It’s around a 15-minute walk from the city center, and some cars can’t make it up because the roads are so steep. I’d recommend taking the local shortcut by the railroad. You can ask the locals about it.
