Leisure Dream Inn

The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and we felt comfortable throughout our two nights here. The room was a little humid, so things didn’t dry properly, and the bathroom could probably use some renovation soon. Still, the place is charming and nicely decorated, and you can tell the hosts care about their guests and the atmosphere. It’s a quieter spot just outside downtown, but the center is only about a five-minute walk away. The view is stunning, and we loved having breakfast on our private terrace. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of variety, all freshly prepared. You could really feel the care that went into it. It was honestly the best we had in Sri Lanka. We’d definitely come back, and it’s a great base for exploring Ella.

Shan was especially amazing, and the staff were welcoming and attentive throughout my stay. Breakfast was delicious, with both Sri Lankan and English options made from locally sourced food. Eating while looking out over the peaceful green surroundings was a lovely way to start the day. The bathroom felt luxurious, with a waterfall shower, strong pressure and reliable hot water, which was a big must for me. The rooms have warm wooden details and vintage furnishings, and felt cozy and beautifully decorated. The place has a rustic, authentic charm alongside modern comforts. I was captivated as soon as I arrived and couldn’t be happier with the experience. If you want a peaceful getaway with charm and an authentic feel, leisure dream Inn is a great place to go. I’ll definitely return. Highly recommend!

The room’s storage was lacking, with only a coat rack and bed bench and no cupboards. The toilet and sink also leaked whenever we used them. We only worked out where the awful smell was coming from a day before leaving, so there wasn’t much point in getting it fixed then. Those were the downsides. We had an amazing time at Leisure Dream Inn, with delicious breakfasts, a gorgeous view and a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The location was perfect, close to everything and especially the town. Shan, the owner, was kind and helpful, recommended places to visit, and always accommodated us when we needed something. It was great value, and we’ll still visit again in the near future.

Shan’s hospitality was second to none. He helped us arrange TukTuk’s and pointed us in the right direction for hiking up Ella Rock. Breakfast was delicious too. My wife and I stayed for three nights as part of a two-week trip to Sri Lanka. The room, bed and bathroom were all very spacious and comfortable. I’d highly recommend staying at Leisure Dream.
