We spent five days here and never needed a tuk-tuk. We stayed within the Fort, where everything from top-class restaurants to cosy cafés was an easy walk away. The people were amazing, always kind and smiling. We loved it enough that next time we visit, we'll stay here again without looking elsewhere. 100% recommended! Our room was spacious, airy and bright, with high ceilings and a large, functional bathroom. The whole building was spotless, and we even had a private rooftop with an incredible view. My only small criticism is the shower curtain. It's old and too short, so water spilled out, soaked our slippers and got tracked into the room. The room was so clean that it was disappointing to see it get dirty because of this.

We enjoyed the rooftop view over the green and watched the activity there, plus the sunset when the weather allowed. Fort de 19 Villa is in a great spot and good value. The rooms are simple, clean and fairly quiet, and the family are super helpful and friendly. This was my wife's second stay, and we'll be back. Well done.

The double room with balcony was spacious and clean, with a nice view. The house is beautiful, well-kept and colonial in style, and the family made us feel very welcome and were helpful. It's good value in the quieter part of the Fort, facing the ocean on Rampart Street. All the attractions are within walking distance.

Theekshana and family made me feel so welcome and were really helpful. I've stayed in Galle three times, and this small hotel is my favourite. It's close to the heart of the Fort but tucked into a quiet area. In the evenings, there was cricket outside the front door, and the adorable girls' school next door was a bonus.

The owners were very friendly, and the guest house is perfectly placed near all the attractions, with a magnificent sunset spot. My room was clean, modern and had all the amenities you'd want. The price is more than fair. Can highly recommend it. Thanks for having me!
