The food was a real highlight, absolutely delicious and great quality. My room was spacious and well cared for, with a lovely balcony view to enjoy in the morning or evening. Forest Edge Hotel is surrounded by greenery and has such a quiet, restful atmosphere, a nice escape from city life. The team is small, but everyone was friendly, attentive, and ready to help with a smile. A comfortable nature getaway, highly recommended.

We especially enjoyed the delicious food, every bit of it. The staff were polite, helpful, and brought such a positive attitude and warm hospitality. We had a fantastic, relaxing time at The Forest Egde Hotel, Ginigathhena. It was quiet and serene, with a lovely setting that felt close to nature.

Worst place my family and I have ever stayed. The manager and chef were especially rude. There were 15 of us, including 5 kids, and we ordered 5 rice dishes and 4 noodles from the menu. When we came for dinner, the table was set for only 9 people. Asking for more plates led to more rudeness, as if they thought we’d come for a free meal. After we argued, the chef came at us with a machete (manna pihiya). Please be careful if you plan to go. We left the hotel at midnight with our little kids. It was the worst experience of our lives. The hand showers didn’t work properly either. The welcome drink was horrible, and the food was disgusting, with lots of stock powder in it.

The food was fabulous, and Sanjeeva and the team were really helpful in arranging tuk tuks to nearby attractions and white water rafting. We had a super stay in one of the new chalets. It has two floors, amazing views, and room for five people.

The nature around the hotel is beautiful and so peaceful. The staff were kind and friendly, and flexible with the packaging. I had a great time and will definitely come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
