The location worked well for safari, and the reception and restaurant staff seemed well meaning. But the place was filthy and badly worn throughout. The shower was clogged so water barely flowed, and the glass was so coated in dirt it looked frosted. The toilet was badly stained, the seat was broken, and it smelled like a public urinal. Floors and walls were dirty, while the curtains, sheets, and pillows had stains and holes. The bathrooms really were as bad as the photos suggest. Dinner was the worst we’ve had; breakfast was just okay, though I still got sick. The reception and restaurant staff didn’t seem properly trained, and the cleaning was very poor. It felt like the owners didn’t care enough to pay for a proper standard of upkeep. The accommodation for guides and drivers was bad too, so don’t put yourself or your guide through a stay here. We’d stayed in smaller, more remote places along the Pekoe Trail, and every one was cleaner and better. Even the national park’s public toilets were much cleaner. If there’d been anywhere else to stay, we would’ve left. We won’t stay at a Lavendish property again.

We really enjoyed the peaceful setting, with nature all around and the pool area to relax by. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were always welcoming and ready to help. There was a good range of tasty food too. It’s so close to Wasgamuwa national park, which made the location ideal for our visit. I’d happily recommend it to anyone heading to Wasgamuwa. 🥰

The relaxing atmosphere and fun activities made the stay really enjoyable, and I’d definitely come back. The team were so friendly and the hospitality was lovely. Our room felt cozy and clean, with a nice view, and I especially liked the delicious local dishes. A peaceful place for a rejuvenating getaway, highly recommend! 😊👌

The food was all delicious, even though the menu didn’t have many choices. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and I really liked the swimming pool area. My room was clean, comfortable, and well looked after, and the washroom was fine too. It turned out better than I expected, and I had a pleasant, relaxing stay. Thank you!

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the lake views were lovely. The room felt tired, though, and the water pressure was weak. Food was hit and miss, ranging from average to disappointing.
