The beach is right outside, and it feels almost like having it to yourself. That location alone was special, and I’d happily return. Thakan looked after the accommodation so carefully. Each morning he swept our terrace and raked the sand. Breakfast came with fried eggs, butter, jams, and loads of fruit. One evening he made curry for us, the best meal of our trip. He also offers barbecue, which sounds good too. He helped us with everything, arranged a tuk-tuk, and offered to pick us up from the airport. Our stay was lovely, and I’m sorry it went by so fast.

We spent several relaxing days here, and this was the loveliest part of our two weeks in Sri Lanka. Ten steps from the bed and you're at the sea. Getting into the water is easy, and the little beach is great for swimming or jumping in the waves. It really feels like a small paradise. Mr. Tharka is kind, responsible, and always ready to help. He puts so much care into his work that we felt at home, only with sand and sea around us. His breakfasts were amazing. If you're passing through Galle or Thalpe, stay a night or two. You may well end up staying longer, or coming back. :) Michal&Maria Slovakia

A really lovely place to unwind and swim. The room has a terrace, and there's a beautiful beach right outside with a good spot for swimming. The host was great and very helpful. We rented a scooter and went to Galle.

We fell asleep with the sea in view from our bed, and the beach outside is magical, with turtles coming there to feed. Tarka was a remarkably friendly and accommodating host. In Mihiripenna, he has two very clean, separate rooms with bathrooms overlooking the private beach. Breakfast was perfect, and there's a kitchen available. We had three wonderful nights there. A superb place!!!!
