We really enjoyed eating at Red Lobster Restaurant in Hikkaduwa. The chicken fried rice was amazing, generously portioned enough for three, reasonably priced, and full of chicken, like proper original chicken fried rice. The prawn fried noodles were good and packed with prawns, and reasonably priced for locals, though a bit salty for our taste, perhaps from the salt or MSG. We still enjoyed them. The restaurant was comfortable and pleasant, and the staff looked after us wonderfully.

The seafood was great, and we enjoyed our dinner. The menu had plenty of local and popular dishes, with a different selection from most places. It was very busy, and the portions were large.

Whenever we're in Sri Lanka, we enjoy coming here. The portions are generous, and the staff are kind, happy to help us choose a standout dish, and pack up what we can't finish. We've had the grilled lobster, Dorado fish, Tom Yam, and seafood noodles, and enjoyed every bite. We'll be back.

We tried the seafood rice and devilled prawns on our second visit, and both were really tasty. The portions were huge again. On our first visit, we shared the seafood platter, which was delicious and big enough for three. We'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

The prawns burger was superb, definitely 10/10. We also tried some other dishes and they were good overall, though the fried rice could have been fresher and felt a little dry.
