River Shades Hotel

The villas were spotless and very comfortable, set in serene surroundings right by the river. It was peaceful and scenic, exactly the kind of restful place we wanted. The beautiful Hikkaduwa beach is very close by, too. We loved our stay at River Shades and would choose it again when we're back in Sri Lanka. The staff were exceptionally polite and courteous. Special thanks to Mr. Perera, the manager, and Daham, our in-house cook. Their warmth and care made the visit especially memorable. A tranquil, heartfelt getaway, highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in front of the beautiful Hikkaduwa Lake. It felt very private and peaceful, with scenic surroundings that made it easy to relax. The garden was clean and well maintained, and our room was spotless. The pool was crystal clear, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. It exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it for comfort, tranquility, and privacy.

We only stayed one night, and my wife and I already wish we'd stayed longer. We're planning to return with our family. Duminda gave us outstanding service, and all the staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Our private villa was excellent and very well maintained, and the pool made the visit extra special. The setting was peaceful and calm, with complete privacy, just right for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended for a quiet, private escape.
