Universal Beach Guest House Restaurant

We always look forward to coming back to this family-run hotel. The family is kind and gives guests good service, and the place works well for families with children. The rooms are clean, the food is fresh, and the grounds are well cared for. It's right on the first line in the heart of Narigama Beach. They can arrange guided tours at a reasonable price, serve delicious cuisine, and provide taxis and transfers to anywhere on the island when you arrive. There's also a surfing school nearby where you can rent equipment or hire a trainer for lessons. We've been staying here for several years whenever we choose Hikkaduwa for vacation.

We had a fantastic time at Universal, right on the beach in front of the surfers. We loved sitting on our balcony and looking out at them. The linen was changed every three days, the service was very efficient, and Dasun served tasty food.

Sumith and his family were the best hosts and took such good care of me 🙏 I felt at home right away and wanted to stay longer, mostly because of how kind and welcoming they were. My room was clean and comfortable, with strong AC, and the wifi worked well for me to work throughout the week. Thank you!!

The sea view room was lovely, and the beach location is great. The restaurant serves tasty, authentic food, and plenty of sunbeds are included with the stay. Hard to beat at this price.
