Paradise, with the ocean right outside and palm trees all around. We had our own table for beachside meals and loungers, with just a few other people nearby. The sound of the waves was lovely to wake up and fall asleep to. Sashi, her girl and auntie were so kind, and breakfast was delicious. We found the place by accident, then extended our stay because we didn't want to go. So glad we came, highly recommend it.

A quiet stretch of beach, with plenty of restaurants close by. The guest house is small and family run, and you reach the beach through a private garden. Rooms are simple but fine. Shashi gave us a warm welcome and the service was excellent. Breakfast was fresh and served at whatever time suited us, with a view of the beach. There are loungers, a hammock, and an outdoor shower for after a swim. Thoroughly recommend if you're after peace and quiet.

We won't forget our time on Sri Lanka's beaches, thanks to this hotel and the family who run it. Eating their delicious home-cooked food by the beach in a peaceful, private setting was a real treat. The rooms were clean and simple, and the family were always ready to help. An amazing place for a proper escape, with a location that feels out of this world.

We stayed four lovely days at Arcade Beach Hotel while traveling through Sri Lanka as two couples. The welcome was so friendly that we felt at home. Every day there was a different traditional breakfast beneath the palms by the beautiful beach. The host even baked a cake for one of us when it was his birthday. Thank you for such a special experience!

The staff were so warm and friendly, and really tried to make us happy. I appreciated that a lot. The garden is right on the beach, so you can have breakfast with your feet in the sand, just a few steps from the sea. Our room was comfortable and nicely prepared when we arrived. The bathroom could use better upkeep, which is why I didn't give five stars. The shower wasn't hot, though at least it wasn't freezing cold.
