Gamini started out as our airport pickup, then ended up taking us all over Sri Lanka. He surprised us with fruit and local snacks, showed us temples, tea and spice gardens, factories, a batik shop, and what he described as the centre most spot in the country. We even had lunch at his home and met his family. He also arranged the train to Ella, a great hotel there, and whale watching in Mirissa, all at good prices despite the late notice. He seemed to have friends everywhere. The place itself sits high above Kandy, with lovely views. Our room was spacious, elegant, and clean, with a big sitting area and balconies. Nawod and Chanuka were delightful hosts, warm and great cooks. They were always available and quick to bring us tasty treats, milky tea, or coffee.

We stopped here for one night while touring Sri Lanka, and the city views were amazing. Breakfast was very good, and the service was excellent. I’d definitely recommend it.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and breakfast was freshly made each morning, which we really enjoyed. My friend and I stayed two nights. It’s about a 10-minute walk to town and the lake, or a quick tuk tuk ride, with great views of Kandy too.

The manager is kind and calm, and makes delicious, filling breakfasts. It’s a small, quiet, comfortable place with a lovely style and the best city view. The price is very reasonable too. Highly recommend.

Coming from Sigiriya, this was just right for my wife and me for a night. We could easily walk to town and the viewpoint, and the views over Kandy were great. Our room was large and clean, and breakfast was amazing. We’d happily stay again.
