Breakfast was delicious and there was far more than we could finish. You do need to book it with the hosts in advance. They were happy to help with anything, and their hospitality was wonderful. There were six of us for two nights, and the family gave us a warm welcome. Everyone had a private room with its own bathroom and a balcony overlooking the mountains, furnished with a table and chairs. Our hosts also knew a lot about the area and its native plants, and took time to teach us about them. That added a lot to our stay.

Our hosts welcomed us into their home so warmly as soon as we arrived. They were generous with advice too, sharing places to eat, spots of natural beauty, and tuktuk drivers for day trips. They clearly know the area well and were happy to pass that on. The location worked well for exploring Kandy, with local buses and tuktuks available. A tuktuk was around 400 LkR. Breakfast was included and always came as a lovely, generous spread. The accommodation was clean, modern, spacious, and comfortable, with a lovely sleeping area, spotless bathroom, and a balcony looking over the city. We loved staying here, even though we mainly used it as a base for a busy trip to Kandy’s sites and relics. Highly recommended. Thanks for everything, Jackie and Family.

The view from our room was amazing, and it was quiet in the neighborhood while still near the city. Good supermarkets keels and super center were 600 meters away. Internet was among the best we had in srilanka, and the shower had hot water with good pressure. There was also air-conditioning. The family running the place were kind and peaceful. It was the only home we stayed in where the sheets and towels smelled freshly washed and clean. The rooms share a well equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, cooking stove, microwave, dishes, cups, and a kettle for tea. The rooms are on the third floor, so anyone who isn’t in good shape may need to stop for a rest on the way up.

The owners made us feel at home right from arrival, and they were incredibly friendly. Our room was spotless, with a magnificent view we kept enjoying. Breakfast was one of the highlights, extensive and absolutely delicious. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

For anyone wanting a real homestay in Kandy, stay with Malka and Alex. The rooms are meticulously clean and functional, and breakfast is excellent. It’s quiet and green around there, yet the main tourist attractions are only a 15 to 20 min. walk away. Malka and Alex can help you find a good solution for any questions.
