Hotel Mango Garden

The breakfast got every day off to a great start and gave us loads of energy. Each of us got a big plate with fresh fruit, lovely Dahl, eggs, toast and coffee. We loved the quiet area and large bedrooms, with a new view over Kandy. Mango garden was a great spot for the price, about a 5-10 walk from the centre of Kandy. We had such a lovely experience and would definitely return if we're back in Kandy. It worked well for us as a couple, and we'd recommend it to solo travelers and groups too. Merci, Adam & Lola♥️ We stayed one more night, which was no problem. On our first day, Malik invited us to an opening for a spice garden, where we had a delicious free meal and a tour of the medicinal plants and different spices. He's a great host and boss, a funny man who made us feel at home and welcome. When we left for the south part, he helped us get a train ticket after we couldn't figure it out. Thanks, Malik, for all the help, laughs and kindness!😍 Nimanthi greeted us each day with a lovely smile and made us feel comfortable. She helped with our laundry and shared valuable information. Thank you!😍 Kana came to pick us up in his tuktuk when we arrived in Kandy. He's a warm, kind soul, happy to help with anything we wanted or give us rides around town. Thank you, Kana!😍 We booked a day trip to Sigiriya expecting to go straight there, but Nilantha, the best guide we've ever had, stopped at several places, temples and a spice garden he recommended along the way. It was Divine! After our long, sweaty hike at Sigiriya, he took us to a great massage place and patiently waited while we had a massage. He did a long 12 hour shift with nothing but smiles. The rooms were in very poor condition, though for me this was the cheapest option and it served its purpose well. The location is very good, and the staff are very helpful.

The rooms were great, and the location was great too. They offer food, and I'd definitely recommend breakfast. Malik, the owner, was friendly and joked around with our group when I stayed here this march. The staff were super nice and helpful as well. Thanks for everything, Malik! Monkeys come out on the roofs in the evening, and the view is great. The breakfast is delicious, and the owner and employees are so nice that they make the experience even better. The best place in Kandy and maybe Sri Lanka! I really love it here.
