There was lots of tasty food to choose from at breakfast and dinner, and the hotel’s view was lovely. The pool was amazing too. We had a wonderfully relaxing time, with excellent service from friendly, attentive staff. The hotel is near Pallekele international Cricket Stadium, which made for a great location.

The cheese chicken kottu I bought was badly cooked, and there was no cheese or chicken in it. The worst kottu I’ve ever tried.

The “chicken” fried rice had maybe a thin strand of chicken, less than 10 grams. It’s a sad motel, and the staff seem run down. Avoid it at all costs.

Mallika Hotel is well placed for reaching the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Kandy Lake, and the Royal Botanical Gardens. We found the facilities well maintained and the staff attentive, which made us feel safe. The rooms were roomy, clean, and had the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Staff were friendly and gave excellent service throughout. The food was delicious, with a good range of local and international dishes made with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend Mallika Hotel for a comfortable, safe, and memorable stay in Kandy.

We woke up to a fantastic view from our room each morning, and the property’s views were stunning. The staff were pleasant and helpful, going out of their way to get the details right. We felt very welcome. Meals were a treat throughout our stay, with a wonderful variety of flavors at Mallika.
