The host was very friendly, and there are some real conveniences here: it's peaceful and quiet, with a kitchen and washing machine. But the kitchen had mosquitoes, and the pillows were awful enough to make sleeping difficult. The shower pressure was weak, the sofa bed hadn't been made up, and over our three days nobody changed the towels or emptied the bin. That was poor. Also, the slope is steep, so this place isn't suitable if you have mobility issues.

Our host and proprietor was marvellous, no pun intended. He did all he could to make our few days in Kandy enjoyable. The room was lovely, very clean, and fully equipped, with traditional Sri Lankan furnishings. The bed was huge and really comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast.

We had a really good two-night stay a few days ago. The house has a great view and sits far enough back from the main road that it's nice and quiet. The owner welcomed us with juice and chatted about himself and the area. Our room was spacious and lovely, and the air conditioning worked so well that sleeping in the heat was easy.

We only stayed one night, but it was a lovely visit, with a nice view and a quiet spot in busy Kandy. The owner was polite and kind, and lent us an adapter when ours didn't work. And his German shepherd was such a cute dog. I definitely recommend staying here!

At Marvel Hills Kandy, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Sharath, who took time to explain everything. The property was very clean, and there are restaurants, a tuk tuk stand, a washing machine laundry, and all the attractions nearby. We had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend it.
