Mountain View

Karun and his family were so welcoming that we felt at home straight away. Our room was spacious and clean, with a balcony overlooking Kandy, and it was handy to have a small kitchen for making our own meals. Karun was a wonderful host. When we mentioned wanting to try egg hoppers, he brought some from a local restaurant for dinner one night. We also booked a tour with him, and spent a fantastic day seeing different places around Kandy in his tuktuk, including a local Sri Lankan restaurant where we had an amazing breakfast. He arranged tickets for the Kandyan dance show that evening too, which we'd highly recommend. We had a fantastic stay and tour, and would definitely come back. Thanks, Karun and family :)

The view in the morning was beautiful, and the rooms were clean and tidy with decent amenities. The staff member was kind from the first time I contacted him. We arrived very late at night, but he stayed up to welcome us, and didn't ask for an advance payment before check-in.

We spent four nights here and liked it more than anywhere else we stayed during our month in Sri Lanka. It’s a peaceful little escape near the busy city center. The place was spotless and comfortably furnished, and the hosts were so kind and helpful. There’s a small tea kitchen with the basics for making tea and snacks. Highly recommend.

The morning view was amazing, and there were plenty of rooms to choose from. Mountain View Homestay was clean, peaceful, and well kept, with a relaxing feel and very welcoming, friendly staff. I had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy.
