The playful monkeys kept us entertained, and the sunsets behind the dramatic sky and the starry night views were unforgettable. From the hotel, the scenery was breathtaking, even better than the viewpoint itself. Oak Ray Kandy is just a short walk from the Kandy View Point and also conveniently close to the city centre and other attractions. A friend recommended the hotel when I visited Kandy at the end of last year, and it exceeded my expectations. The staff were warm from check-in through check-out, and I appreciated the thoughtful parting gift of tea bags. My room was spacious, modern, spotless, and had everything I needed. The team clearly cared about making the stay comfortable. I found it a relaxing, luxurious place with a bird's-eye view of Kandy, whether you want to unwind or explore. I highly recommend it.

I spent a night there and found the room clean and really good. The staff and the room itself were fantastic. The lunch buffet with my family was a different story: it cost Rs 4000 per person, but there wasn't much variety. The dessert corner was very basic, just fruit, jelly, ice cream, bread pudding, and sago pudding. I've tried plenty of buffets, so this one didn't feel worth the price overall. The Sri Lankan food was delicious, though.

There are hundreds of pieces here made from wood, bones, and other materials, so it's a great place to visit if you love wood. They also offer shipping worldwide. I bought a few nice pieces.
