The staff were super friendly and helpful with our requests, and we felt welcome during a stay we enjoyed overall. The pool itself was clean and nice, though its glass surround needs cleaning and the stairs and area around it need repairs. It gave me the impression it hasn't had much upkeep over the years. I got a similar feeling in the restaurant, which seemed due for a proper cleaning. Some dishes weren't fully clean and the windows were dirty. The coffee pot was constantly boiling and too hot, so I skipped the coffee. None of this had a huge effect on our stay. It was fine overall. Thanks!

The rooftop pool has lovely views over Kandy, and it's only a short walk down to the lake. The neighborhood felt very safe. We stayed three nights and loved the whole visit. Our room was large, updated, and very clean, the staff were always smiling and gave top-notch service, and we had a couple of wonderful dinners at the restaurant. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Breakfast was really good, especially the hoppers, which were the best we've had in Sri Lanka so far. The pool area is lovely and has a great view. Our room was comfortable, clean, well equipped, and a good size. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. We were extremely happy with the hotel, about a fifteen-minute walk from the lake and main town area.

The rooftop infinity pool and bar were the highlight of our one-night stay at Serene kandy. The views up there, and from our room, were fantastic. Everyone on staff was humble and attentive. Mr. Chowinder and Ms. Sashikala took especially good care of us and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the food as well. Chef Tushar made us a specially prepared Indian meal, a lovely way to end the day. The property itself is great, and it's a good place to unwind. Try to catch the sunset from the rooftop pool!

A good feeling staying here. The room was clean and hygienic, and the staff were friendly. The food was delicious, particularly breakfast, which had a fair number of choices across different cuisines.
