Shanthi Uyana

The booking problem was the worst part for me. I was quoted a price for my stay, made plans after confirming, then was told the rooms had already gone to someone else. I ended up cancelling my whole holiday after arranging everything. Communication between the office and hotel staff also seemed very poor, which made things confusing and frustrating. I’ve visited Shanthi Uyana several times because the location is beautiful and peaceful, but the facilities aren’t maintained to a satisfactory standard, and the food is below average and not as advertised. They didn’t deliver what they promised. I found the management frustrating and unprofessional, and wouldn’t recommend this place.

The mountain view was the best part, with sunrise over the ranges each morning. We had a Christmas day tea time too, a thoughtful extra. The rooms were spacious, modern and very clean, with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed. Breakfast had lots of choices, and dinner at the on-site restaurant was a highlight. The staff were attentive, and check-in was quick and smooth. At Shanthi Uyana, everyone made us feel welcome and took care to make the stay comfortable. I’d happily stay again.

Don’t miss the sunrise from the bed or balcony, the views are astonishing. The rooms and beds were nice, and the service and food were good. Brother Charles, the owner and spiritual leader, welcomed us personally, which we really appreciated. Our stay at Shanti Uyana brought peace to our minds, bodies and souls. We can wholeheartedly recommend it.

We booked the whole bungalow and had a great stay. It’s one of the best hotels in the area, with a nice location, friendly staff and delicious food.
