The Kings Villa

Our group loved spending time on the beautiful terrace, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms had very good air-conditioning, too. The peaceful garden and view of the private pool were amazing, and the food was fresh and delicious. Thanks so much to dona and the team for making our stay unforgettable.

This little gem is about a 30-minute drive from Kandy, with spectacular views and great hospitality. The owner, who manages the villa, deserves special mention for his care. The property is beautiful, with a close-knit staff and a warm, exclusive feel that makes you feel right at home. It’s a lovely choice for a personally curated getaway. Don’t miss a dip in your private pool.

The owner told me he didn’t recognize Agoda bookings and that every room was full, even though I had a confirmation and the money had been taken from my account. I’d made a four-hour journey for the cricket World Cup, and the nearby rooms were all booked. He was rude and said he had no obligation to help us. I was traveling alone with my elderly father, and we were left stranded. He accused Agoda of pocketing the money. I later found out he’d rented the whole villa to a family and simply hadn’t bothered to cancel our booking. The place gets zero stars from me. A terrible owner and a terrible experience.

My room was quiet, and I felt welcome and well cared for. The owner was friendly and helpful every time. It’s a short drive to beautiful Kandy, and on arrival, you pass through the hotel gate into a garden oasis with a nice pool that’s just the right size for swimming. I’m looking forward to coming back.
