Three Three Five Guest House

The rooms are basic, but clean and have A/C, and there’s a kitchen area guests can use. It’s also quite close to the train and bus station. What really made our stay was the family’s generosity. We visited over New Year’s, when many places were closed, and they made packed lunches for our day trips without us even asking. They also put together a special New Year’s dinner with traditional sweets. I honestly haven’t stayed with a kinder or more hospitable owner. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was the usual toast and jam, with some nice fruit too, and one day they packed breakfast for us to take along. There’s also a kitchen anyone can use. The rooms were clean, with air conditioning and hot water. The owner and manager was really friendly and helpful, and knew a lot, so his advice was good and accurate. We haven’t found that often in Sri Lanka. The beds weren’t especially comfortable, though for the price they were okay.

It’s within walking distance of the train and bus station, and we felt very safe there at night. The whole place was extremely clean, our room was comfortable, and breakfast each day was enjoyable. The owners were so kind and helpful. We really liked our stay at 335 and would happily come back.

The location worked well for us, near the center but far enough away from the noise. You have to ring to get in, and there’s a lock on your room door, which made us feel safe. The owner is lovely and clearly cares about guests, and breakfast was good. A perfect stay, we’d definitely return :) !!!
