The communal kitchen and lounge were great, and it was really helpful to have drinking water supplied. The breakfasts were delicious, and Eranga was a wonderful host. We loved the location: walking into the centre was fine for us, and a tuk tuk was quick and cheap. The natural light in the house is special, and the room was immaculate, cleaner than anywhere else we stayed in Sri Lanka. Our favourite homestay in the country, and a must-stay in Kandy. Everything felt perfect.

A peaceful spot with a lovely view over town, and the owner was so kind and helpful. We loved the delicious breakfast and found our room clean, comfortable, and lovely. Highly recommend.

The owner was extremely rude. Booking said the airport shuttle was free, but I had to contact them several times just to arrange a taxi because there was no reply. Once I arrived, the owner said I should have paid the driver. When I pointed out that Booking said it was free, he said only the taxi arrangement was free and the ride itself had to be paid for. I told him that wasn’t very professional, and he replied that I should learn how to read English. Maybe the website had a mistake, but there were many ways he could have explained it. The room was very humid, with mold stains all over the walls and ceiling. The toilet paper was already opened and wet, and they provided only two towels, with none for hands or face. Curtains were in front of the beds and didn’t block out light, so I couldn’t sleep properly in the mornings. The breakfast was not among the best I’ve had in an Asian country.

We really enjoyed our stay in this clean, beautiful homestay. The people were very kind, and it was nice to be outside the hectic city centre. The walk into town is doable.

The hosts were incredibly thoughtful, making sure we had what we needed and arranging tuk tuks and a tour. Since we had to leave early on our last day, they even packed breakfast for us. Our room was comfortable and clean, with AC and a fan, and the bathroom was a good size with plenty of hot water. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it.
