Meshendra Garden Hotel

We spent our last day of a busy trip relaxing by the pool, and this place worked really well for that. The rooms were spacious, clean, air-conditioned, with a big bed and a nice hot shower. The owner even picked up beers for us from a local shop and was happy to drive us to the airport, which is about three minutes away. We also made a quick shopping trip to Negombo. For the price and the convenient location, we'd happily stay again.

My friends and cousins ended up sweeping, decorating, and helping with service because there weren't enough staff. The washroom was dirty, and the hall still hadn't been prepared or even swept by 9:30, half an hour before my 10 a.m. wedding on the 23rd. I'd asked for gold and maroon decorations, but they put up pink instead. Before we booked, the owner had promised us a wonderland, and we'd paid the full amount two weeks ahead. They only seem to care about money. The way they speak to people, the service, upkeep, and punctuality were all poor. If you want to spoil a function or vacation, this is the place.

The pool area feels lovely, surrounded by nature, and there's a pool for kids as well.

Nice swimming, cheap, and close to the airport. It's a good place.
