Green House Yala

We turned up without planning ahead, and they had a room ready for us straight away. The family were so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious 😍 Our room was spacious, clean, and cozy. He also runs safari tours. We'd already booked ours, otherwise we would have been happy to go with him ☺️

Our half-day safari with Santha was unforgettable. He knew where to look for all kinds of wildlife, gave the animals room, and took us on our own route instead of following the other jeeps. After we left, we even spotted a leopard just outside Kirinda, sitting on a rock above the plains and watching the sunrise. Such a great morning. The lodging itself is a lovely little place among the trees. It was clean, good value, and run by a very friendly, helpful family. I'd recommend it.

Santha, the owner, takes guests out in his jeep, and he's such a nice man. We'd definitely recommend his safari. His family can also make a really good dinner, offer a cold beer in the evening (not easy to find around here), and serve breakfast with fruit from their garden. It was an unforgettable experience.

It's a separate building in the garden of a lovely family. The rooms are big and simply furnished, with ceiling fans and ensuite bathrooms. If you ask, they'll cook breakfast and dinner, and they can also bring you a cold beer. The owner drives his own vehicle for safari trips in Yala national park.
