Mapakada Village Hotel

The pool area is lovely, and seeing monkeys around the property was a fun extra. There are no elevators, but staff gladly helped with our luggage. Our clean room had a slight odor sometimes, though it didn’t spoil the stay. We loved Mapakada Village. With fewer rooms, it felt personal and relaxed, and the staff were incredible, friendly, fun, and made every interaction enjoyable. Even the chef came out to check on us during the meal, a thoughtful touch. Wonderful hospitality, and we’d happily recommend it.

We only had one night at Mapakada Village, and would have stayed longer if we could. Our room was clean, looked nice, and had a great view of the pool and lake. We were travelling with our 1.5-year-old daughter and found the welcome warm, the staff really friendly, and the food good. The lake view was stunning, and we even saw an elephant crossing during dinner. I definitely recommend the place. If you go, try breakfast on the boat, it’s like a mini safari with breakfast.

The calm atmosphere and delicious food, especially the Sri Lankan dishes, made Mapakada Village Hotel a lovely place to unwind with family or friends. It’s beautifully set among nature overlooking peaceful Mapakada Lake. Our room was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Special appreciation to the management for their professional service, hospitality, and attention to detail, which made our stay feel extra special. Highly recommended for a Mahiyanganaya visit. I’d gladly return.

We stopped at Mapakada Village for lunch, and it was a lovely visit. Every dish was fresh, full of flavor, beautifully presented, and had an authentic taste we really enjoyed.
