We spent one night here as a family. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the pool, which was about four feet deep. Our room’s TV didn’t work, and the rooms were small, roughly 10×10 feet, with rather old washrooms. There’s a balcony shared by all the rooms. The hotel is around 8 km from Monaragala town, with a reservoir about 100 meters away, though I didn’t find the setting especially attractive. Breakfast was good: we had rice and curry, but no dessert. Dinner was less successful. The Kottu and Pasta tasted as if they might have been precooked and frozen.

We loved the peaceful setting and the big pool, and even went kayaking on the lake. There was a chance of seeing elephants out there, which made it feel like an adventure. Our room had a very comfortable bed, and the shared area was spotless, with a little pond full of tiny fish. The Sri Lankan food was truly delicious. A lovely stay, highly recommended.

The hotel was very clean, with a great pool, and the service was super good. Iddamalgoda took us around the neighborhood and told us lots about the lake, elephants, and the surrounding area. It was really nice, and everyone was very friendly.

The staff were so helpful and welcoming. Rooms were clean and had hot water, a fan, and air conditioning. It’s a nice resort in a remote spot near the lake.

We even got to see elephants bathing in the lake while Iddamalgoda showed us around. He’s a lovely, friendly host. The location worked out well, halfway between Sigirya and Ella, and the food was great too. Really good value for money, totally worth it 😃
