The breakfast was good, with bread and jam, a freshly made omelette, and bananas. The staff were lovely too. The room was the problem: it felt old and worn, and I didn’t feel comfortable. We shared the balcony with the neighbours, and construction right across from us was noisy from 6 am. We booked without AC, and though the ventilation worked well, it couldn’t keep up with how hot the nights were. The stay was okay, but the room is why I’m giving it 3 stars.

Check-in was awful. She tried to charge me even though I’d already paid through hotels.com, then attempted to put me in a downstairs room. I’d clearly booked an ocean view, though it was only a small slice of ocean seen through power grids.

The location was good, and the staff were friendly. Wi-Fi was available, too. But the room was extremely basic, with no bedsheets or blankets, toilet paper, or towel. Breakfast was poor for $2.50 per person, and coffee cost extra. They also didn’t accept credit cards. Not worth the price. We were a couple, 28 and 31, on a South Asia backpacking trip.
