We had a relaxing stay at this lovely hotel right on the beach. The pool was great, the rooms well equipped, and the bathrooms spacious with toiletries provided. AC worked well. Breakfast had a nice mix of Western and Sri Lankan dishes, plus an egg and omelette station.

Shehan at the front office deserves a mention. He was attentive, helpful, and friendly, and his professionalism added a lot to our stay. We checked in late at night, but the staff welcomed us and made the process easy. At Golden Star Beach Hotel Negombo, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and decent. I found it good value for money, and the team seemed to genuinely care about guests. A pleasant stay, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere comfortable and affordable in Negombo.

I've visited a couple of times, once for a photoshoot and once for a BBQ with friends. It's right by the beach, with a laid-back feel and friendly, accommodating staff. The food was fresh and well prepared, especially the BBQ. A nice spot in Negombo to relax or hang out with friends.

We spent one night here with bed and breakfast, and the staff were kind, friendly, and helpful throughout. The breakfast buffet had an average range of choices, but everything tasted good. The hotel's location is excellent, near everything and still peaceful. It rained all day while my family and I were there last weekend, but the hotel still felt cozy and relaxing. It was a pleasant stay, and I'd be happy to come back.

We arrived at 3:30am after our flight, but the hotel didn't know we were coming, even though we'd emailed several times to make sure our rooms would be ready. We'd booked months ahead, and they couldn't find our reservation. Management was horrible and refused to refund the stay, so we have to call the credit card company. There were fleas, mosquitoes, and flies around the lobby, and its furniture was cheap and ripped. Terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and don't book this hotel.
