Hidden Negombo by Sana's

I came here for drinks with a few friends. The atmosphere was great, and the place felt really nice to hang out in. We ordered pepper pork and hot butter cuttlefish as bites, and both were very good, especially the cuttlefish. They also make fresh juices, so we got fresh orange juice to chase the vodka. The owner, Mr. Sana, was extremely friendly and even joined us for a drink. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for somewhere to relax in Negombo.

I ate here three times in four days because it was convenient, inexpensive, and the service was good. One morning I had a plain omelet with fries (chips) and mixed fruit juice. For dinner on two other occasions, I tried the curry chicken with its many side dishes, one of the best things I ate in Sri Lanka, and the sweet and sour chicken. Highly recommend for tasty food at a reasonable price. I took off a star because eating as a group can be awkward. They'll accommodate you without any fuss, but the dishes may arrive at different times.

Sana was so welcoming when we ate at Sana’s on our first night in Sri Lanka. Even after spending a month in the country, that meal still stands out as our best. We’ll definitely come back.
