The breakfast was generous, with plenty of options. The room itself was very basic, though the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked. I noticed black, smudgy patches in the corner near the AC that looked like they might be mold. The bathroom window had no screen and wouldn’t close, so mosquitoes and other insects could get in. I used the mosquito net over the bed. It’s an okay place if you don’t mind roughing it a little. If you’re after finer comforts, this probably isn’t for you.

Mr Sebastian was polite, kind, and really helpful during our stay in Negombo. He even arranged an inexpensive Tuk Tuk to the airport for us. The room was clean, and it was nice to finally have a shower with good water pressure.

We had a lovely first night on the island here. The house has a lot of charm, and Sebastian, the owner, was so nice to us. Our room was just right for resting, with a refreshing shower, and the huge breakfast set us up with plenty of energy for the day.

Our stay was comfortable, and I liked having a balcony and AC in the room. The beds were comfortable, the hosts were nice, and the rooms and bathrooms looked clean, modern, and beautiful. The AC did make it a bit too chilly with only a sheet, though, and a fan would have helped with that and with blocking out the noise. You can hear a lot from inside and outside the house, especially doors closing downstairs, so sleeping in may be hard if you’re a light sleeper.
