After a long flight, we felt safe and welcome straight away. We stayed at the daughter's house, and they picked us up and dropped us off at the Busstation. The room was spacious and very clean, and so was the Bathroom. Breakfast was great in the morning, and they packed us a bag to take along. We really enjoyed our time at Randis Homestay. The family is so nice and welcoming, and it was the perfect start to Sri Lanka for us!

The host was friendly and helpful, and even gave me complimentary tea. He took me in his tuk tuk very early so I could catch my flight, at a reasonable price. The room itself is very basic, best suited to an overnight stop or transit for one or two travelers.

The rooms could have been cleaner, and there were cockroaches. Still, the host was kind and welcoming. The location is handy, near the dutch fort and about an 18-minute drive from the airport.

For a low-priced stay, the location is hard to beat, about a five-minute walk from Negombo bus terminal. The room is a basic double, which is what the price suggests. The toilet needs to be cleaner, and the shower water pressure should be stronger. Google Maps sent me the wrong way and I had to turn around, so I sketched the route on a map for reference.
