Villa Ananthaya

The owner was friendly and courteous, and we had a very nice stay. Since there were four of us but we'd booked just one room, he gave us two rooms, and when our flight was overbooked and only two of us could board, he prepared the room we'd had before so we could return. He also helped us communicate with our tuktuk driver, who couldn't speak English. We highly recommend Villa Ananthaya. The kitchen is well equipped and available for guests, and the pool was lovely for a quick refresh. Everything was very clean. Five stars from us. Greetings from Germany and Austria!

We rented a tuktuk from the owner for a very reasonable price for a month, and it made our Sri Lankan holiday special. It had some age and scars, but was very reliable for driving around the whole island. This was both our first and last place in Sri Lanka, and for the price it's the best value we found here. The pool is amazing, big, and clean, with a spacious terrace. Our room was clean and roomy, with A/C, a private bathroom, and hot shower. Breakfast was simple, tasty, inexpensive, and a big plus.

I almost went to another hotel, but ended up staying five days. I felt at home as soon as I arrived. The setting is fairly quiet, with a lovely garden and swimming pool, and the larger house is nicely built. The rooms were clean and actually smelled fresh. The food was really good, so don't hesitate to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner here. No accommodation is perfect, and this one isn't either, but the owner's intense focus on hospitality and how comfortable I felt made my stay amazing. Thank you!

I felt at home right away here, and Mahinda was the perfect host. He made sure I was comfortable, woke me in time for the airport, ordered a taxi, and checked that I had packed all my belongings. He also made me very good breakfast and dinner so I could stay indoors. The pool is clean and great for swimming. I highly recommend this place.
